Creative Content Ideas in 30 Minutes

Are you staring at another blank screen hoping that it will fill with words?

I have been there. I know what it is like to stare and hope that an idea will come to me and that the words will just spill out. It isn’t always like that though so sometimes we have to think of a different way to move past that blank screen.

Do you want to have a list of creative content ideas that you can use at any time?

I love my list of ideas. It is constantly growing and I want to help you create your own content list in 30 minutes. I suggest setting aside one day per week and taking 30 minutes on that day to work on this list. This will give you a list that is constantly evolving.

RESOURCES TO USE TO HELP YOU COME UP WITH YOUR CREATIVE CONTENT IDEAS

Before we jump in with how you can create this list, I want to share with you the resources that I will be talking about. These resources are what I use when I am stuck on content ideas and how I use to plan out my blogging content.

Remember that these content ideas that you write down can also be used to create your social media content.

Coming up with a list of creative content ideas in 30 minutes a week.

If you are looking for a way to keep your ideas and everything for your blog and social media organized, grab the Organize Your Blog Trello board. You can keep track of your content ideas, your goals, your numbers and so much more in this one Trello board that I created. Grab your copy today and stay organized.

The resources that I am going to share with you are free to use with the option (on some of them) to upgrade if you need or want to. I use these resources weekly in my business and for my blog. I will go into how I use these resources later on in the blog post. For now, I am just going to list them so you know what I will be talking about.

CREATING YOUR LIST OF CREATIVE CONTENT IDEAS

Are you ready to learn how to start creating your own list of creative content ideas? Let’s get started.

When I teach beginner bloggers how to narrow down their niche, we talk about creating a list of things that you can teach your readers. Now that you are blogging in your niche, write down these ideas. These ideas are going to help you to create a content ideas list in 30 minutes.

You are also going to want to have your blogging content pillars handy so that you can also use these to help you create this list.

Answer the Public

Once you have your list of things you can teach your readers and your blogging content pillars handy, we will start by going to Answer the Public. With Answer the Public, you will get two free searches per day.

You will just type in the topic that you chose to look up. I love Answer the Public because it is a visual search. You get a beautiful layout of questions that have been asked that are relevant to your topic.

You are able to download the information for your search. It is a great way to save it and transfer the ideas that you love to your new Trello board.

Tweak Your Biz

When it comes to Tweak Your Biz, I use the Title Generator option. This way, I get lists of ideas that they generate. It can take a few minutes to go through them but it is another awesome option to see what content ideas you love.

I do find that the titles they come up with score low when I type them in to check their SEO score but it is a great starting place.

Pinterest

I love Pinterest. I have a board on there that is called, Creating My Niche. Anytime I see something that would be a great topic to talk about, I save it to that board. Now I want you to remember, creating this list of creative content ideas doesn’t mean that you can steal other people’s work. This is meant to help you generate ideas and use them in the way that only you can, with your knowledge and expertise.

I also want to say…

Don’t get caught up in what others are doing. We can tend to get stuck on what those in our niche are doing and we believe that we aren’t good enough. That is not the case. I know what that is like. I can get stuck in comparison mode but don’t do that. You are where you are meant to be. Keep moving forward and embracing who you are and what you are doing.

Now Pinterest is such a great search engine. Remember, Pinterest isn’t a social media platform. It is a search engine. A visual search engine. I use Pinterest every single day and love it.

Instagram

Who doesn’t love Instagram?! We think of Instagram as just a way to share our content but it is also a great way to find content ideas. Again, I want to say that you do NOT need to steal the ideas of other content creators. We spend a lot of time coming up with content. This is just a way to generate some content ideas and then put your own spin on them.

Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest is a keyword search tool but it is also a great way to come up with new content ideas. I absolutely love this tool and have used it for many years now. You get three daily searches for free but there is an option to upgrade.

You can take the suggestions that it gives you under the keyword ideas and use them as content creation ideas.

Trello

I will show you how to use the Trello board from above so that you can add this to your resources to use for your blog and social media. Remember to grab your copy. It is free and you can just copy the template and use it.

That is how you can use these resources to help you build a list of content for you to use for your blog and your social media. I also want to say that I love going for a walk when I am struggling with what to write about.

I have a note on my phone called Walking Wisdom. It is where I write down all the thoughts and ideas that come to me while out on a walk. Once I stop thinking about what I need to do, the thoughts can flow freely.

There are many other ways for you to come up with content ideas but these are my favorite. Start today. Set the timer for 30 minutes and see how many ideas you can come up with. Comment below with how many ideas you have on your list now.
