Starting a Blog Based on YOUR Needs

For years, I have been trying to separate pieces of myself so that I could focus on the one part that was going to take my business to the next level. I mean, after all, I am teaching women how to niche down in their blogs.

So I would remove one thing and try my best to make it work even though it never felt just quite right. I would partially listen to myself and then revamp and focus on the other one thing and again, hope for the best.

Over the past two weeks, I have been trying to create my coaching programs. I felt that they were too broad and that I somehow needed to create one program that focused on one type of woman.

I did that. I had Blogology for a year and realized that I had women who already had a blog and wanted to grow and I had women who didn’t have a blog but wanted to learn. I was trying to fit EVERYTHING into this one program when it just didn’t fit.

My niche is blogging but there are different parts of my niche that I absolutely love. This means that I had to be honest with myself about WHO and WHY I was helping who I was. My niche is also self-care and healing BECAUSE I used blogging in a way that brought all of those pieces into my life.

There are still moments that I listen to the opinion of others. Thinking that they know what is best for me and my business. So I would do what I did above and make compromises to myself, to my coaching and to my life.

I ask for feedback on certain blog posts.

I ask for feedback on my coaching programs.

I ask for feedback on my website.

I can be good at drowning out my own voice in order to please others. It has lead me to question parts of myself. It has lead me to wonder if what I am doing is even what I should be doing.

I saw this on Instagram yesterday and absolutely loved what she says.

Don’t let the overwhelm of what you need to do to start getting consistent clients cloud your confidence that you are freaking awesome as a coach. Chas Young

I have had to remind myself that other coaches, other experts and even just family and friends will all have opinions but at the end of the day, my business is mine and I can do with it as I please.

Learning how to blog with specialized courses.

With that in mind, the other night, I grabbed a HUGE sheet of paper and began to map out my courses. I knew that I needed to change something because the program that I had created just days before (called Life Legacy Blogging) made me feel as if my clients were dying and needed to share their last words. Or like my son said like they are writing their obituaries.

So I knew that I had to rethink a name for it and begin to brand it with the vision that I had.

I love teaching women how to blog. Watching them create and recognize their power is truly amazing! It is like watching that caterpillar turn into a butterfly. They were so full of doubt before and questioned whether they could do it and then realized that they could and that they are!

Over the last year of building my coaching business, I have been able to know who I want to work with and who I don’t want to work with. For me, the women I WANT to work with fall into 3 different categories.

  1. Women who want to blog and have thought about blogging but feel that they don’t have the technical knowledge to do so.
  2. Women who have started blogs and they have lost the passion and have stagnated in what they were hoping to achieve.
  3. Trauma survivors who are ready to share their stories through blogging to build up a community of support around themselves.

I was made to believe that I had to choose only one of these groups of women to help. That is where the disconnect was coming from. I am an Authentic Expression coach. I help women share their stories and these women are at different stages BUT they are all stages that I CAN HELP WITH!

Who I don’t want to work with??

Bloggers like me. Who have been doing it for years and years and are more experienced. I don’t want to help them. They aren’t what lights me up and it is okay for me to admit that.

So Blogfluent reaches category number 1 for the women that I want to help. The woman who wants to blog and has thought about blogging but feels that she doesn’t have the technical knowledge to do so.

Blogfluent is a 6-month group coaching program that allows us to take it slowly and truly break down the process of blogging and the process of setting everything up and laying a strong foundation down.

So if this describes you, Blogfluent is the program that you want to enroll in. I have been told that I have a gift to easily break down the blogging steps into manageable pieces. I am using my strength in this course so that by the end of the 6 months, you will understand how to set up your site and keep it running. Blogging started for me because I NEEDED to heal. I NEEDED to share my story.

I was slowly rotting away from the inside out because there was so much hatred in my life. I felt like I no longer had control. I was just waking up and trying to keep my life from falling to pieces with fake smiles.

I know how painful and difficult it can be to share your story and that is why I created Blog to Heal coaching program. I want trauma survivors to know that they can create a safe community around themselves and their stories.

I remember the anger. It consumed me all of the time even when I had a smile on my face. I stopped living for many years because I didn’t believe that I could truly be happy with my life again.

Women who have suffered traumatic experiences aren’t broken. They are beautiful creatures who wake up every day to fight another battle. I want to show you that there is another way to fight the battle.

Blog to Heal will teach women how to heal while showing them how to successfully share their stories. Together we can build connection and create a safe place for you to heal on a deeper level.

Blog to Heal begins on May 18, 2021. It is a 3-month program. You will get additional training from one of my former clients, Iris, who is coming in to teach you mindset. If you sign up by April 19, 2021, you will receive these bonuses from me.

  1. A mala created for you by Malas by Meg in Calgary.
  2. A self-care box filled with small business products.
  3. A self-love journal created by Goddess In Training coaching.

This is the program that is based on my original program, Blogology. It is a 3-month coaching program where I help women who already have blogs reignite the passion for it.

At the beginning of anything new, we are always smitten. We feel like it is going to last forever and that we will continue to move forward.

Blogging is hard work. There are a lot of moving pieces to keep moving forward and if you don’t have a plan, you will quickly lose yourself when it comes to blogging. In the Fierce Growth Accelerator, I help you create a plan to take you to the next level. I show you what you need to work on to get to that level. We focus on how you can begin to monetize with your blog in a way that is true to your goals and your vision.

I love reviving the passion in women who thought that their blogs were dead. Having another perspective and someone to walk you through new ways to do something, helps to bring clarity. Let me help you grow your blog and achieve the success that is meaningful to you.

The next Fierce Growth Accelerator begins on May 17, 2021. If you sign up by April 19, 2021, you will receive these FREE BONUSES.

  1. A blog strategy session with me before May 17, 2021.
  2. Copy of the Ultimate Blogging Planner.
  3. Graphic templates to use with Canva.
  4. 3 months in the Blogging Circle Membership.

By focusing on my strengths, I have been able to create 3 programs for the women that I want to work with. There is no more choosing between pieces of myself. I am able to create my business with my vision and these 3 programs are exactly what I have been working towards for a year.

If you are ready to join ANY of these programs, I am so ready for you to take your story to the next level.
